Working with John from London Amphibian & Reptile Group (LARG) we doubled the number of refugio that the slow worms at Grove Farm can use. These A3 sections of black roof felt allow the slow worms (as they are cold blooded) to regulate their temperatures in safety before heading out to hunt. On this particular occasion we only counted 20 individuals. We hope the refugio will allow us to map their locations around more of the site.
