The council has approved a new development (Park View Place) on land that directly borders the park which was formerly known as the Kellogg's tower. Unfortunately, part of the land that is part of the planned development (owned by the developers) also contains a large number of mature trees which will be removed as part of the program of works. Many groups in the area opposed the project as have we, however the council decided to move forward with approving the construction against those objections.
