Our monthly litter pick took place on a Sunday at the start of the month as opposed to our usual Saturday, as we had used our normal litter picking day to celebrating Apple Day with our friends at Horsenden Hill. It was great to meet so many of our supporters at the Friends of Grove Farm stand, we hope you enjoyed the cakes.

A huge thank you to Fred, Sue, Jonathan, Deborah and Joe for all coming down for a lovely late summer’s morning, collecting a site record of eight bags of recycling along with the sadly usual seven bags of general waste.

Among the stranger discoveries was a set of blinds in the middle of the park, something new for our Grove Farm Litter Picking bingo card.

We understand from conversations with you all that you agree with us that these litter picks shouldn’t be necessary, but while they are, we will be working to keep Grove farm clean and accessible for the community.

Want to get involved? Friends of Grove Farm runs a conservation day, litter pick and activity day each month. Get in contact if you would like to join us.
