At the start of the month a small team came together to clear Grove Farm of Litter and a small fly tip.  Between them, the team collected:

• 25 bags of rubbish,

• 9 bags of recycling,

• 12 items too large for a bag

• 6 nitrous oxide canisters

The haul included a car wheel clamp which earned a place on our ever-growing Grove Farm litter-picking bingo card. Whether is beds, couches, blinds, chairs, mowers, mopeds or bikes, we have the team to keep Grove Farm clean. Although we’d much rather find a clean nature reserve.

A huge thank you to Sue, Fred, Cathy, Joe, Ed, Siobhan, Jonathan and Alireza who gave their time to come to Grove Farm and help keep Grove Farm Local Nature Reserve accessible for the community.

Grove Farm is a space for wildlife and the community.  We agree that these litter picks shouldn’t be necessary. While the need remains, we’ll keep coming together to care for it. 💚

Want to get involved? Friends of Grove Farm runs a conservation day, litter pick and activity day each month.
