🌿 Reclaiming Coston’s Brook, One Stretch at a Time 🌿

Volunteers from Friends Of Grove Farm and Goodgym Ealing were back along Coston’s Brook, clearing brambles and continuing work to create a new access path to support future conservation work.

Despite the heat, the woodland provided welcome relief, reminding us again how vital these green spaces are for keeping local temperatures down while creating a calm, shaded environment to work in.

Together, the team opened up around 20 metres of the brook edge and established a new path, making previously inaccessible areas reachable. Along the way, we spotted Hart’s-tongue fern thriving in the damp conditions.

This work is essential. Without access, we can’t manage the habitats that make Grove Farm so special and there is still plenty more to do.

Sue and Fred came back after the task and removed a massive fly tip too, true local heroes.

Thanks to Sue, Fred, Steph, Kash and Sevan.
