Conservation day - Path clearance - July 25

26 Jul 2025

Clearing the Way: Improve Access for all

For July’s conservation day Friends of Grove Farm volunteers Fred, Livio and Bharti were joined by goodgym ealing volunteers Kash, Sevan and Steph where we focused on opening up the path along David Lloyd lane.  The reason for tackling this task is  so that pedestrians travelling between Greenford road Sudbury hill and David Lloyd/ Wood end estate or Grove Farm can easily pass without getting tangled in brambles that can swallow the path.

Clearing the path utilising tools supplied to us from a grant from TCV the team made short work of the mid section of the path.  This when added to the work carried out by Ealing council has really opened up access.  The vegetation that was removed was added to existing dead hedges that will continue to benefit mammals, reptiles and insects that all call Grove Farm their home.

📅 Next conservation day: Saturday, 23rd August

⏰ 10am

📍 Meet by David Lloyd roundabout
