Conservation day - June 22

25 Jun 2022

Continuing the clearing of sight lines

We held our June conservation event & continued to improve sight lines with more dead hedge creating in Grove Farm. The area is up by Busy bees and as you can see we've now managed to complete a section. The plan is to keep the hedging down so that visitors to the park feel safer that there are less areas to hide in. An added bonus is that the dead hedges we created are also good for wildlife so we're hoping to see more evidence of small mammals in the area which will entice the predatory birds to visit.

We also cleared some vegetation away from our slow worm mats which had become very over grown. Thanks to Frederick Prior & Sue Ball for their hard work.
