This conservation day was focusing on the issue of overflows from storm drains that flood paths in the Park. The hope being that in the future we might be able to create a wetland area.
Great work by volunteers and rangers in clearing up the area between the brooks and redirecting the flow of the upper one to stop flooding on the path & create a wetland area. A new channel was built and “Martin’s moat” (our newest dam) helped to divert water away from the public path. Additionally lots of brambles & branches were cleared.
